The lone occupant in a Jeep Cherokee was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital following a one-vehicle accident at approximately 4:48 a.m. today Thursday, June 11.

The accident occurred at 613 E. Armstrong Road, Leesburg, west of CR 73E, Leesburg.

According to information obtained the driver went off the north side of the road near CR 75E, continued westbound until clipping a NIPSCO pole and going off the road into the yard at the 613 E. Armstrong Road address. The driver was able to avoid hitting several trees in the yard.

Leesburg Fire Department, Multi-Township EMS and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department were at the scene.
