John “Jack” E. Waltz, 75, 5567 E. 75 South, Rochester, passed away at 7:05 P.M. Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at his residence.

He was born on March 25, 1940, in Rochester, the son of Merrill D. and Bertha (Hower) Waltz. On June 15, 1958, in Fulton, Indiana, he married Lelia Ann Waltz. She preceded him in death on April 4, 2012.

Mr. Waltz had been a Millwright Crane Operator for many years. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and was known for his ability to fix about any item. He enjoyed camping, horseback riding and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his children: Kathryn (Jim) Freel, Mishawaka; Jack Waltz, Hudson, Fla. and Rochester; Kenneth (Sherry) Waltz, Rochester; Melody (Mark) Studebaker, Carmel; Rita Waltz, Claypool; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother: Doug Waltz, Rochester; sister: Susan J. (Dee) Williams, Rochester; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: David Waltz; and grandson: Sidney Waltz.
