Raymond C. ReedRaymond C. Reed, 91, of rural Wabash, died at 1:35 p.m., Saturday, June 6, 2015, at his home. He was born Aug. 6, 1923 in Fulton County, to Henry and Pearl (Brooks) Reed.

Ray was a 1942 graduate of Linlawn High School. He married Jacqueline Constable in Peru, on March 4, 1943. Ray was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Asbury Country Church. He retired from Container Corporation, Wabash, in 1985 after 39 1/2 years. He enjoyed golfing, spending time with his family, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

He is survived by his wife: Jacqueline Reed, Wabash; four children: Sharon (John) West, Roann; Patricia (Tom) Chekouras; and Cheryl (Dohn) Wiley, Wabash; and Stanley (Linda) Reed, Ossian; three brothers: Jesse Reed, Wabash; Ronald (Pat) Reed, Columbia City; and Fred (Mary) Reed, Wabash; two sisters: Ilene Tabler, Logansport; and Bonnie (Roger) Dale, Wabash; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and one sister.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday June 10, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Mike Bullick officiating. Burial will be in Ever Rest Memorial Park Cemetery, Logansport, Indiana. Friends may call 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are Asbury Country Church or Heart-to-Heart Hospice.
