A Gautier, Mississippi, police officer recently came a little too close for comfort to a powerful act of Mother Nature.

Officer Mark Rodriguez was driving his police cruiser along Interstate 10 during stormy weather when a huge bolt of lightning struck a nearby bridge. His dashcam caught the strike on video.

The bright flash struck quickly and then was gone in a flicker. The only sign of damage left behind was a chunk of concrete missing from the railing of the bridge.

Rodriguez was not injured.
