Police are currently searching for a potentially dangerous subject throughout surrounding counties. An attempt to locate was just placed by Howard County Sheriff’s Department for Gary Francis Perkins, 49, Kokomo.

According to HCSD Lt. Kurt Goerges, Perkins is believed to be armed and dangerous. HCSD is unsure of his motives.

Perkins is believed to be traveling in a black 1995 Ford F-150 truck, reportedly stolen on May 29, with an Indiana registration and license plate number of SMK253. Anyone believing to have seen Perkins are advised to exercise extreme caution and contact 911 immediately.

Perkins is approximately 6 feet tall, caucasian with balding brown hair. He is registered as a sex offender on charges of rape and sexual battery and has a criminal history.
