Gala Party And Art Auction

Friday, June 19, is a festive night when the friends of the Syracuse Library invite everyone to an evening of music and a bite to eat to raise money for special projects at the library. The after-hours event will be the final chance to bid on the one of a kind pictures in between musical sets. Save the date, when for three dollars or an updated membership, all are invited to come for guitar music by the duo, Acoustic Rock.

The silent auction is on display at the library where the pictures may be examined and bids accepted. Purchase of the paintings does not require attendance at Friday’s event. There are other unique items such a large selection of old books and some other kitsch. Everything offered must go.

Young Adult Book Club Flips for Pancakes

The Young Adult Book Club is meeting one more time before the start of summer activities. Young people will make pancakes with a variety of toppings and look at the latest titles at the library. Students going into grade six through high school are invited to attend young adult activities at the library. They will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 2.
