Sixth graders at Jefferson Elementary teamed up with Element, a local microbiology lab, to hold Jefferson’s first S.T.E.M. Fair on Wednesday, May 27.

Prior to developing presentations, sixth graders walked through the scientific method, beginning with asking a scientific question. The students took those questions, used research and creativity, and designed experiments to test out their hypotheses.

Employees from Element served as judges. Students who participated received prizes from their participation in the event.
