Jacqueline Stackhouse, 89, of North Manchester, formerly of Wabash, died at 12:14 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015, at Peabody Healthcare Center in North Manchester. She was born Jan. 3, 1926 in Wabash, to Foster Sr. and Florence (Hart) Gatchel.

Jackie married Fred A. Stackhouse in Jeffersonville, on June 11, 1951; he died Dec. 6, 1996. She was a homemaker and a past member of New Life Baptist Church. She loved decorating, quilting, sewing, crocheting, and flowers. She also enjoyed walking.

She is survived by four children: Michael E. (Goldie) Moore; Debora S. (James) Hoefer; and Teresa L. Stackhouse, all of Wabash; and Jackie A. (David) Weaver, Roann; her sister: Shirley Hobbs; and two brothers: Jim Gatchel; and Foster Gatchel Jr., all of Wabash; and several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons: Larry Moore; and James Moore; seven brothers and sisters, and two great-grandchildren: Nick Flynn; and Olivia Weaver.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, June 1, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash, with Pastor Kirk Johnson officiating. Entombment will be in Chapel of Remembrance Mausoleum, at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., Sunday, May 31, at the funeral home.
