Elizabeth “Betty” L. Perkins, 86, of Warsaw, passed away at 5:35 p.m. Monday May 25, 2015, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Wakarusa.
She was born on April 26, 1929 in Chicago to the late Beryl and Rose (Haynes) Bauer, and later married LeRoy Perkins on Aug. 22, 1970, he passed away on November 29, 1986.
Betty is survived by her son: Frank Hatch, Ill.; a daughter: Mary Montana, Ill.; seven grandchildren: Daniel Hatch; Dawn Howett; Diane Fitzpatrick; Denise Hinkins; Jennifer Newendykes; Diona Montana; Kimmy Hatch; three step grandchildren: Trisha Kocsis; Suzanne Green; Jame Kocsis; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and her son: Daniel Hatch; and a sister: June Bauer Childress Frank.
Betty had moved to Summit, MS in 2006 and had just recently moved back to the Elkhart area in 2013. She worked as an aide at Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw. She was a member of the Pisgah United Methodist Church in Summit, MS; Diamond Love Missionary Church in Cassopolis, MI. Elizabeth enjoyed puzzles, sewing, reading and socializing. Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with her arrangements.
