At least they tried.

The softball sectional games scheduled for Tuesday night at Lakeland High School have been suspended and postponed until Wednesday night.

Wawasee and Fairfield managed to play two innings before having play suspended. That game will resume Wednesday evening at 5:00 p.m. in the top of the third inning in a tie game, 0-0.

Following that will be the seconds semi-final between Whitko and West Noble. The scheduled start time is 7:00 p.m. for that game.

Tickets purchased for Tuesday’s game will be honored Wednesday at LHS.

In Marshall County Triton postponed its softball championship between Triton and Bethany Christian until Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m.
