Nathan W. McConnell, 24, of Etna Green, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2015, at Memorial Hospital of South Bend as a result of injuries he suffered in an automobile accident earlier Friday in Elkhart County. 

Nathan was born on Sept. 28, 1990, to David and Mary (Neidig) McConnell at Mishawaka, Indiana. He had been a lifelong resident of Etna Green. Nathan attended Triton High School and received his GED in 2011. He worked at Veada Industries in New Paris manufacturing boat seats. Nathan loved music, video games and skateboarding.

Nathan is survived by his parents: David and Mary, Etna Green; along with his sister: Grace McConnell, Bourbon; his brother: David McConnell II, Bourbon; maternal grandmother: Bernadine Neidig, Bourbon; three nieces: Kayla, Karma and Adelyn; one nephew: Kyle; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Nathan was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Joseph Neidig; paternal grandparents: Robert and Janet McConnell and an uncle, Glenn Leonard.

You are invited on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 to celebrate Nathan’s life with family and friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 P.M. at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St. Bourbon, IN 46504. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, in the funeral home.
