Triton SportsThe Triton softball team rolled to an 11-1 win over LaVille Thursday.

The host Trojans captured the Northern State Conference contest in five innings.

Hannah Jennings had a big game for Triton with a pair of hits. She slugged a home run and drove in three runs in the win.

Nicole Sechrist and Megan Berger each had a two-run single for the Trojans.

Taytum Hargrave and Zoee Stephan each had two hits for Triton.

Brycelyn Garrison collected the pitching win. She struck out five and walked just one.

Triton will play a huge NSC game at Bremen Thursday night.

Tennis Team Keeps On Winning

The Triton ladies just keep on winning on the tennis court.

The host Trojans lost a grand total of just four games Wednesday in blanking South Bend Riley 5-0 in a non- conference match.

Kaelyn Mason led the way for coach Al Peckham’s talented team with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles.

The No. 1 doubles team of Kylie Mason and Kolbie Mason also posted a 6-0, 6-0 win for the host Trojans.

Shayla May was a 6-0, 6-2 winner at No. 2 singles for Triton. Emma Ross completed the singles sweep by winning 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 action.

The duo of Quinn Downing and Hannah Wvnemacher won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.

Triton improves to 11-1 on the season.   The JV match was a 3-3 final.

Triton plays in the Northern State Conference tournament starting today.

Baseball Team Tops LaVille

The Triton baseball team edged past host LaVille 3-2 for a conference win.

The Trojans scored three runs in their first at-bat and made it stand up for the Northern State Conference victory.

Cordale Keyser and Zac Pitney each had two hits to lead the winners.

Nate Flenar went six innings to notch the pitching win. Keyser earned the save by pitching the final inning.

Isaac Ross had a double and two RBI for LaVille. The Lancers scored two runs in the sixth inning.

The two teams combined to leave 16 runners on base in the contest.

Triton plays at Jimtown on Friday.
