Jon E. Treesh, 59, went home to be with the Lord and with his departed loved ones on May 12, 2015, following his sudden death in Fort Wayne.

He was born on Dec. 14, 1955, in Elkhart, to Glen L. (Ike) and Jean Geiger Treesh, each of whom preceded him in death.

Jon was a 1974 graduate of Wawasee High School and he attended Case Western Reserve University and Tri-State University. He resided for most of his life in Milford, before moving to Fort Wayne in 2010.

He was a member of First Mennonite Church of Fort Wayne, having just been received into the church on Sunday, May 3, by profession of faith and baptism. He truly loved his church family.

He is survived by Mike’s widow: Nancy Ahrns Treesh, Sugar Land, Texas; a sister: Pam (Jim) Rummel, Olive Branch, Mo.; a brother; Mark (Jan) Treesh, Lexington, Ky.; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins; and his former wife: Margaretann Kellogg, Toledo, Ohio.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his oldest brother: Mike.

A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, May 17, at First Mennonite Church, 1213 St. Mary’s Avenue, Fort Wayne.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to Fort Wayne Rescue Mission or First Mennonite Church.
