The annual Mentone Egg Festival 5K and one mile walk is coming on Saturday, June 6, at the Mentone Community Services building, located at 201 W. Main St., Mentone. Registration on race day begins at 6:30 a.m. and runs until 7:45 a.m. with the race beginning at 8 a.m.

The start and finish line will be at the Mentone Community Emergency Services building, and a course map will be available on race day during the registration time.

The entry fee is $18 if you pre-register before midnight Saturday, May 30, and $25 after the pre-registration date. The first 300 pre-registered participants are guaranteed a T-shirt. All others are first come first serve. You can mail your entry form with a check or money order, payable to Four Way Ambulance Service, to Four Way Ambulance, Box 225, Mentone, or go to runsignup.com and register and pay there. Look for the Egg City 5K Run and one mile walk.

Special awards for first overall male and female runners. All participants will receive a participation medal. The top two will receive a first or second place medal in the following age groups: 9 and under; 10-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70 and up.

There will be a special award for the top walker, and the top two walkers will receive a first and second place medal.
