SOUTH WHITLEY – Whitko High School senior Cole Kessie is going to continue his football career at Manchester University.

Kessie, a captain and linebacker, helped the Wildcats post a 6-4 overall mark and a 6-1 record in the Three Rivers Conference during there 2014 season. He helped Whitko claim a share of the TRC championship in 2013.

Kessie, the son of Doug and Tina Kessie, finished his high school career with 112 tackles, two sacks and seven fumble recoveries.

“I’m very proud of Cole, both on and off the field,” said Whitko football coach Josh Mohr. “He was a tremendous teammate and role model for our younger kids. We will miss his work ethic and leadership next year.”
