Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

12:37 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, North Colfax Street, Warsaw. Driver: Barbara E. Shanes, 70, North Colfax Street, Warsaw. Shanes was backing into a parking space in front of her apartment and backed into a parked vehicle, registered to Carolyn S. Whitsett, North Colfax Street, Warsaw. Damage up to $5,000.

8:50 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, Lake City Highway and Silveus Crossing, Warsaw. Driver: Metea A. Mosher, 27, East CR 225S, Winona Lake.Mosher was westbound on US 30, came to a stop at the intersection with Silveus Crossing. She stated while waiting for the light, a semitractor/trailer rear-ended her vehicle. The semi made contact with her vehicle a second time and proceeded to push her forward and into the intersection. She turned right to get out of the way of the truck, that left the scene. Damage up to $2,500.
