A single-vehicle crash last night on the north side of Warsaw has left one local woman in serious condition.
At approximately 9:44 p.m. Thursday, May 7, Warsaw police responded to a report of an accident on US 30 near the SR 15 interchange. First responders found a 1998 blue Chevrolet Blazer off the roadway and rolled over on to its top.

The driver, Ciara Rose Burchett, 23, Warsaw, was extricated from the wreckage by Warsaw/Wayne Township Fire Territory firemen. She was treated by Multi-Township EMS at the scene before being airlifted the Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne in serious condition.
The Kosciusko County F.A.C.T. team’s initial investigation indicates that Burchett was eastbound on US 30, just after exiting from SR 15. Burchett reportedly over-corrected, lost control of her vehicle, went off the roadway and rolled the vehicle several times.
The crash is still under investigation pending legal blood test results. Warsaw Police Department, Multi-Township EMS, Warsaw/Wayne Township Fire Territory, and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
