Milford Fire Department has been called to Lakeland Rehabilitation, 505 W. Fourth St., Milford, to investigate a heavy smell of smoke in a portion of the building.

Residents are being moved to another area of the building, while firefighters investigate.

According to Milford Fire Chief Todd Haines smoke from someone burning wood in the area entered an open window, causing the smell of something burning inside the building.
