The Tippecanoe Valley softball team picked up a big win Wednesday night over Southwood.

Katie Gunter fired a five-hitter in the circle as the host Vikings topped the Knights 13-5 in Three Rivers Conference play.

Gunter went all seven innings in the win, striking out four and walking just two.

Amanda Shepherd had a big night at the plate for the winners. She went 3-5 with a double, three RBI and two runs scored.

Darian Dotson had two hits, including a double, and drove in three runs. Kassidy Shepherd had two hits with a double and Katie Prater also had two hits.

Valley, now 2-12, will play at Rochester on May 11.
