Silver Lake Fire Department has been called to the Family Dollar Store on Jefferson Street, for smoke inside the store.

According to Silver Lake Fire Chief Morris Jones the smoke was caused by a belt on a fan blower unit. No fire was found after searching the building and roof. Firefighters have returned to the station.
