WARSAW – Few players in orange and black or across the line of scrimmage in recent years played with the finesse, heart, and packed a wallop like Warsaw Tiger defensive specialist Caleb Wooldridge.

Not only did the past two years of stellar play gain him statewide attention, it also turned the heads of college programs, and this week Wooldridge announced his commitment to Anderson University and the Ravens football program.

Wooldridge, a first team all-state and first team all Northern Lakes Conference selection, led the Tiger football defense from start to finish, helping the Warsaw program toward the top of the conference standing each of the past two seasons.

Wooldridge, a two-year letterman and two-time winner of the Tiger Pride Award for Tiger Football, accumulated the single-game quarterback sack record (5) as the Tigers blanked Goshen 24-0 for one of two team shutouts on the season.

While taking down opponents on the field, Wooldridge spent a great deal of time lifting others up in the community.  The scholar athlete that earned over a B average through his first seven high school semesters helped with the Baker Street Youth Club, Feed My Starving Children, Pushups for Troops, and he assisted with the Young Tiger Football program.

Wooldridge will work towards a degree in Criminal Justice while playing for coach  John Sala and the Ravens.  Anderson is a member of the NCAA Division III Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
