Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky Ohio will open Saturday, May 9, for the 2015 season with a new, floorless roller coaster named Rougarou.

The park’s 17th coaster, Rougarou stands 14 stories tall and flips passengers upside down four times at speeds of more than 60 miles per hour while their feet dangle inches above the steel track.

Cedar Point will also celebrate its 146th season with the grand re-opening of Hotel Breakers. Featuring an all new interior and exterior, the hotel offers newly remodeled rooms, a full-service Starbucks, Surf Lounge and many other amenities.

Other changes for the park this season include: a new candy shop called Sweet Spot on the main midway; a Quaker Steak & Lube restaurant adjacent to Castaway Bay; the Lakeside Pavilion dining room along the boardwalk; Rougarou ice cream inspired by the new roller coaster at Toft’s Ice Cream Parlor, as well as Rougabrew beer and RougaCool non-alcoholic beverages; classic rides moved to new locations; and new shows and performances throughout the summer.
