Warsaw SportsWARSAW – The offense was in high gear for the Northridge softball team Wednesday night.

The Raiders used a huge third inning en route to topping host Warsaw 16-2 in five innings in Northern Lakes Conference play.

Northridge, which dropped a key NLC home game to Wawasee on Monday, plated 10 runs in the third inning versus the Tigers.

Sidney Hernandez and Karly Jones each had a hit and an RBI to lead Warsaw.

Winning pitcher Sami Deisler had three hits and three RBI for the Raiders. Jordan Yoder had four hits, including three doubles, and Sarah Kane a home run for the winners.

Northridge improves to 7-6 overall and 4-1 in the NLC. Warsaw falls to 2-8 overall and 2-3 in league play.

Northridge won the junior varsity contest 20-19.

Warsaw plays at Concord and Northridge hosts Elkhart Memorial in NLC action Friday.
