Marilyn M. Bartman, 63, of Syracuse, passed away at 1:56 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne.
She was born May 3, 1951, in Goshen, to Ralph “Frank” and Sue A. (Whetten) Hoover.
Marilyn was a lifetime Syracuse area resident and attended Syracuse High School. She married on Jan. 10, 1970, to Joe Bill Bartman, in Nappanee. He preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 2013. She retired from Dana Corporation, Syracuse, after several years of service.
She is survived by: Brandy Jo Ward, Syracuse; Bambi Jo Stuckman, Syracuse; Brendy Jo (Robert) Weldy, Wawaka; son: Robert Vern “Bobby” Bartman, Warsaw; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandson; three sisters: Faye (Ronald) Church, New Paris; Jacqueline Blosser, Bronson, Fla.; Janice Wood, Syracuse; and a brother: William “Bill” (Norma) Hoover, Elkhart.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, April 30, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 1, at the funeral home, with Pastor Pat Park of Wawasee Heights Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the South Union Cemetery, Nappanee.
Memorial bequest may be given to the Marilyn Bartman Funeral Fund, care of the Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse.
