UPDATE: Police are continuing their investigation into a single vehicle accident Saturday evening, reported at 10:21 p.m., on East Pierceton Road, east of CR 275E, Warsaw. The vehicle was reported stolen during the investigation and no driver was found at the scene.
Police found a 2002 White Chevrolet in a yard at 3029 E. Pierceton Road. The accident report states the driver of the vehicle was eastbound on Pierceton Road and failed to negotiate a left hand curve. The vehicle went off the roadway, hit guidewires on a REMC pole and several mailboxes. No driver was found at the scene when the first officer arrived within minutes of the accident being reported.
The vehicle was found to be registered to Ashley J. Bratten, East Center Street, Warsaw. At 10:49 p.m. Bratten called to report her vehicle stolen.
Damage to the vehicle, guidewires and mailbox owned by Stonehenge Golf Course, was estimated up to $10,000.
Warsaw Fire Department and Multi-Township EMS are en route to a vehicle accident near 3029 E. Pierceton Road, Warsaw, where a vehicle has struck a utility pole.
The accident is in front of Stonehenge Golf Course.
Reports from an investigating officer is the driver left the scene of the accident. It is unknown if there were any injuries.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and Winona Lake Police responded.
