Governor Mike Pence will honor seven Indiana companies for longevity and community service today by awarding them the Governor’s Century or Half Century Business Awards during a ceremony at the Indiana Statehouse.

“I’m honored to recognize these Hoosier-grown businesses that have created a strong and lasting impact not only on their communities but on the state of Indiana as a whole,” said Pence. “As our state continues to attract new companies, these well-established businesses will set the tone for a Hoosier economy dedicated to hard work, constant improvement and strong community roots. Their longevity is yet another example that Indiana is a state that works.”

The Governor’s Century and Half Century Business Awards honor Hoosier businesses that have remained in operation for a minimum of 100 or 50 consecutive years and have also demonstrated a commitment to community service. Nominated by individuals or organizations within the same community, the award honors Indiana’s well-established companies and their outstanding contributions to the economic growth and prosperity of the state. More than 1,400 companies from across the state have been recognized during the 25-year history of the award.
