A Millersburg man died from a head injury in a motorcycle/dump truck accident earlier today on CR 40 at CR 33, three miles south of Goshen City Limits.

Dennis Darrenkamp, 61, Millersburg, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Elkhart County Coroner.

Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department reports Jon Yoder, 41, Goshen, was traveling northbound on CR 33, in a 1988 International dump truck. Yoder stopped at the intersection with CR 40 and pulled north into the intersection, directly in front of Darrenkamp’s 2014 Harley Davidson, softail motorcyle. Darrenkamp’s motorcycle collided with the passenger side of the dump truck.

Yoder was cited for failure to yield the right of way.

The accident is under further investigation by the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.
