On April 14, 1865, John Wilkes Booth, a famous actor and Confederate sympathizer, fatally shot President Abraham Lincoln at a play at Ford’s Theater in Washington, D.C.

Warsaw Community Public Library will host Dave Ehlert of Branson, Mo., who will portray Lincoln in a live theatrical production. Hear the story of the Civil War through the eyes of the Union President Abe Lincoln. Ehlert is a world-renowned performer who takes Abe Lincoln’s life and brings it to the stage. Ehlert receives acclamation from every part of the U.S., and is on tour through our area. Learn how a Union President fought against slavery and racism in pre and post war days. This live theatrical production will be performed with 90 minutes of historical drama, humor and education.
