Strong Winds Expected Today

The National Weather Service Northern Indiana has issued a special weather statement for strong westerly winds to be expected today.

Frequent wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour are expected behind a strong cold front. Wind gusts will begin to diminish late this afternoon.

Winds this strong can make driving high profile vehicles difficult, especially on north-south oriented roads.. There is also some potential for downed limbs and sporadic power outages.

The conditions are expected to affect Marshall, Fulton, Kosciusko, Whitley counties among several other counties.
