Infant Lucian Nikolaus James Barrus, 26 days, passed away at 6:38 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

He was born March 12, in Warsaw, to Thomas Barrus, Jr. and Beth (Gilbert) Barrus.

He is survived by his mother: Beth (Chad Puckett) Barrus, Warsaw; father: Thomas (Madelaine Kincaid) Barrus, Jr, Cromwell; brother: Constantine Barrus, at home; sister:  Mackenzie Barrus, at home; paternal grandmother: Penny Pruitt, Syracuse; paternal grandfather: Thomas (Angie) Barrus, II, Niles, Mich.; maternal grandfather: Kevin (Jodi) Gilbert, Warsaw; maternal grandmother: Julia (Wayne) Radford, Syracuse; paternal great-grandparents: Honey (Loren) Pruitt, Warsaw; paternal great-grandfather: Thomas Barrus, Kentucky; paternal great-grandmother: Carolyn Barrus, Warsaw; maternal great-grandfather: Richard (Lynette) Gilbert, Lewiston, N.Y.; maternal great-grandfather: Rev. Gary Paxton, Syracuse.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother: Sonja Paxton, Sept. 22, 2011.

Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 11, at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan St., Warsaw. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 11, at the funeral home. Rev. Gary Paxton, great-grandfather, will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of choice or simple acts of kindness may be done for others in Lucian’s memory.
