Ada J. Shaffer, 85, of Warsaw, passed away at
4:27 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Kosciusko Community Hospital of
Warsaw.

She was a homemaker and a self-employed child care provider, having babysat
for many children over the years. Ada was a member of Brookpark Community
Church of the Brethren in Brookpark, Ohio, she was also an avid embroider
and quilt maker, of which most of her family had received the fruits of her
labor.

She was born on Nov. 18, 1929 in Stony Creek Township, Somerset County, Pa.,
to Earl Raymond Swindell and Harriet (Snyder) Swindell. On Sep. 12,
1948 she was married to William Elias Shaffer, who passed away on April 28,
1999.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter: Beverly Waldeck, Parma,
Ohio; two sons: Chuck Shaffer, Fort Wayne; Ronald Shaffer, Warsaw; and six grandchildren: Kim Hornyak, Olmsted Falls, Ohio; Jen (Jason) Fitch, Parma, Ohio; Missy (Will) Ware, Cleveland, Ohio; Stephen Shaffer, Canton, Ohio; James Shaffer, Texas; and Maggie Markward, Van Wert, Ohio.

Also surviving are eleven great-grandchildren: Brittany (Brad)
Clevenger, Olmsted Falls, Ohio; Angelica Hornyak, Olmsted Falls, Ohio;
Jessica Fitch, Massillon, Ohio; Summer Fitch, Parma Heights, Ohio; Justin
and Caitlynn Fitch, Parma, Ohio; Joe, Amy, and Jon Waldeck, Cleveland,
Ohio; Maddox Shaffer, Texas; Liam Webb, Van Wert, Ohio; one great-great
grandson: Otto Clevenger, Olmsted Falls, Ohio; two sisters: Shirley
Meyers, Columbia Station, Ohio; and Doris Jackson, Olmsted Falls, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Charles Swindell;
and two sisters: Margaret Swindell and Boots Lape.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday, April 6, at
Baker Osinski Kensinger Funeral Home, 206 Front Street, Berea, Ohio.

Her funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, at the funeral home in Ohio and officiated by Reverend Gene Carey. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted, Ohio.

Local arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne
Road, Warsaw, Indiana.

Memorial donations may be directed the National Kidney Foundation, Finance
Department, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016 and would be
appreciated by her family.
