The Fort Wayne Base Community Council board of directors are hosting a guest member luncheon from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, at Ceruti’s Summit Park, located at 6601 Innovation Blvd., Fort Wayne.
This luncheon is open to the public and will include guest speaker Colonel L. Kip Clark. Clark is the commander of the 181st Intelligence Wing, Hulman Field, for the Indiana Air National Guard in Terre Haute. His presentation will discuss and highlight the 181st Intelligence Wing’s intelligence and air support operations, as well as contributions to disaster response.
Their mission has them linking with all sorts of manned and unmanned ISR platforms to collect, analyze and then distribute intelligence to combatant commanders overseas. A few examples of these aircrafts currently in the U.S. Air Force inventory are the U-2 dragon lady, RQ-4 global hawk, MC-12 liberty, MQ-1 predator and the MQ-9 reaper, as well as satellite systems.
