At approximately 4 p.m. Monday March 23, the Allen County Sheriff’s Department responded to an accident involving two vehicles on Lafayette Center Road, Fort Wayne. One of the vehicles in the crash was a truck that had been hauling pigs.

Several of the pigs escaped the truck somehow, either due to the crash or afterward, and were running loose in the area. Officers had to close off Lafayette Center Road between Lower Huntington and Aboite Road for a couple hours while the pigs were captured.
