Laura NewbyLaura L. Newby, 53, of Warsaw, passed away at 11:12 a.m. Sunday, March 15, 2015, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

She was born Jan. 19, 1962, in Warsaw to Raymond and Edith (Lynch) Newby.

A lifetime Warsaw resident she was employed by Grace Village, Winona Lake in food service. She was an animal lover, especially dogs, and enjoyed baking, especially Christmas cookies. She was a former member of 4-H and Warsaw Community High School graduate Class of 1980.

Survivors include her mother: Edith Newby, Warsaw; sisters Donna (Rodney) Jordan, Indianapolis; Melody (Thomas) Sands, Indianapolis; Pam (Mark) Hartman, Lafayette; Bev Hay, Warsaw, Carol (Ron) Wood, Warsaw; and Phyllis (Dennis), Bluffton.

She was preceded in death by her father: Raymond in 1970; and a brother: Larry Joe Newby.

Calling hours are scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, at McHatton Sadler Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
