Louella J. Tengelitsch, 91, of Bremen, died at 7:55 a.m., Thursday, March 12, 2015, at  St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, after a short illness. 

She was born March 15, 1923, in Bremen, to Oliver and Ruth (Heckaman) Hochstetler. 

Mrs. Tengelitsch  lived her lifetime in this area. She was a 1941 graduate of Bremen High School. Her first marriage was to Marvin Yoder. He preceded in death. Her second marriage was to William Tengelitsch Dec. 23, 1967. He preceded her in death Nov. 16, 2003. 

Louella had worked at several  factories where she was the head of the sewing department. She had also worked at Carol Lee’s Consignment Shop. She was a member of the Nappanee Church of the Brethren, the Nappanee Snappy Nappy Red Hats and VFW Auxiliary. She had been a Red Cross volunteer for  many years and was involved in Blue Birds and was a 4-H leader during her children’s school years.

Surviving are her children: Ross (Julie) Yoder, Nappanee; Jolene (John) Binns, Nappanee; Janelle Lowe, Bremen; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, March 16, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, where funeral services will  be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 17. Officiating will be Rev. Byrl Shaver. Burial will be in South Union Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to  Bremen VFW.
