Among the petitions considered by the Kosciusko County Board of Zoning Appeals during its regular monthly meeting Tuesday in Warsaw was one by Jose Hernandez. He is petitioning the BZA to allow a semi trailer to remain as an accessory building on the west side of SR 19, south of CR 75N in Harrison Township.

The BZA, though, tabled the petition until July to allow time for Hernandez to clean up the property, said Dan Richard, area planning director. Hernandez must make improvements to make the trailer presentable, Richard added.

Other agenda items included:

• Kevin Hohman was granted a variance to allow property lines to be altered on an existing residence on CR 750W in Seward Township. He plans to move an old trailer off the property.

• Steven Waters was granted an exception for a home based business, in this case the breeding and showing of dogs, on CR 600S, east of County Farm Road in Clay Township. As a condition for approval, if noise begins to be a problem it must be controlled.

• Ted and Chris Parker were granted a variance to permit construction of an addition to an ag barn on CR 500W at the intersection with CR 1200S in Seward Township.
