Richard Wayne ‘Rick’ Smith, Jr., 60, of Lincolnville, died at 7:12 p.m., Sunday, March 1, 2015, at his home.

He was born Aug. 11, 1954, in Wabash, to Richard W. Sr., and Shirley Ann (Chamberlin) Smith.

Rick was a 1972 graduate of Southwood High School. He married Wanda Middleton in Somerset, on Oct. 8, 1982. He was a US Marine Corp veteran, and retired from the US Army Corp of Engineers at Salamonie Reservoir. He enjoyed woodcutting, hunting, and building rustic furniture. He especially enjoyed spending time with kids and his dogs.

He is survived by his wife: Wanda Smith, Lincolnville; and son: Caleb Richard Smith, Huntington.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be no services. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.
