Ruth V. Williams, 89, of North Webster, passed away at 7:45 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syracuse.

She was born on April 6, 1925, in West Palm Beach, Fla., to Charles and Pearl (Stump) Hull.

She moved to Indiana in the 1930’s, attended South Whitley High School and lived in the North Webster area most of her life. On Dec. 27, 1942, in Huntington, she married Hugh Barber Jr. who preceded her on March 24, 1966. On May 28, 1970 in Brimfield, IN she married Robert L. ‘Bob’ Williams Jr. who survives. She was a homemaker and was formerly employed at Harborside Health Care in Fort Wayne and North Webster Elementary School as a Special Education Assistant for many years.

She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star in North Webster. She enjoyed church, dominos, traveling and all kinds of crafts.

She is survived by husband: Bob Williams, North Webster; two daughters: Jean Ann (Larry) Hunter, Syracuse; Peggy (Howard) Mossing, Fort Wayne; daughter-in-law: Cathy Barber, Bloomington; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Helen Shepler and Janice Southern, both of Fort Wayne; three brothers: Darl (Sharon) Hull, Fort Wayne; Norval (Carol) Hull, Fort Wayne; Clarence (Jackie) Hull, Spencerville.

She was preceded by her parents; first husband; son: Rex W. Barber; granddaughter: Lenea Anderson; five brothers: Bernard Wilkinson, Lawrence Wilkinson, Dean Hull, Hal Hull and Charles Hull.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, at Owen Family Funeral home, SR 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, in the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Judy officiating. Burial will follow in Mock addition of the North Webster Cemetery.

Memorial bequest may be given to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
