Grace Men Check In At No. 21
WINONA LAKE – In the second-to-last poll before NAIA Nationals, the Grace College men’s basketball team dropped one spot in the NAIA Top-25 Coaches’ Poll.
The Lancers grabbed the No. 21 ranking in the poll, racking up 112 points from the voters. Grace is one of four Crossroads League teams appearing in the poll, including No. 1 Indiana Wesleyan, No. 8 St. Francis and No. 11 Bethel.
The final regular-season edition of the NAIA poll is scheduled for Wednesday, March 4. The final poll is used to decide the at-large teams for the NAIA National Championships. The 32 national championship qualifiers will be announced at 4 p.m. on March 4 with the championship bracket to be unveiled with a live selection show later that evening at 9 p.m.
The Lancers kick off the Crossroads League Tournament on Wednesday at the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center. Grace will host fifth-seeded Mt. Vernon Nazarene at 7 p.m. in the quarterfinals. With a win, Grace would advance to Saturday’s semifinals against either Indiana Wesleyan or Spring Arbor.
