Ilah M. Fisher, 89, of Bourbon, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015 in Bremen Community Hospital, Bremen.
Ilah was born May 30, 1925 to Gerald and Bessie (Felter) Hartzell in Kosciusko County.
On Dec. 21, 1957, she married Donald M. Fisher who recently died Feb. 14, 2015.
Ilah was a graduate of Etna Green High School class of 1943. She was a homemaker and had worked at Blue Bell (Blue Jean Factory of Nappanee) and most recently was a cook at Triton High School retiring in 1988. She was an excellent cook! In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, gardening and canning. Ilah was a faithful member of the Hepton Union Church, Nappanee.
She was a wonderful, loving, Mom to two daughters; Jean and Lisa both of Bourbon. Also surviving is a sister; Wilma Jean (Mrs. Jim) Gall of Leesburg, Indiana and a sister-in-law; Mary Alice Hartzell of Nappanee.
Proceeding in death was her parents, her husband, a sister, Donna (Davidhizer) Fisher; two brothers; Bob Hartzell and Eldon Devon Hartzell
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, to share memories in Hepton Union Church 9266 W. Hepton Road Nappanee.
A celebration of Ilah’s life will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Eric Eichoff of Hepton Union Church officiating. Burial will follow in Stony Point Cemetery, Atwood.
