Triton Sports LogoBOURBON – A well-balanced offense earned Triton a tough boys basketball win Tuesday night.

The host Trojans topped Rochester 35-28 in a non-conference contest.

Masen Yeo led the winners with nine points. Joey Corder had eight points and 12 rebounds for Triton.

The game was tied at 6-6 after the opening period and Triton led 19-9 at halftime. The Trojans had a 24-19 lead at the end of the third quarter.

Jordan Anderson scored six points and Austin Sellers five for the Trojans.

Triton, which has won five of its last six games, shot 14-34 overall from the field. The Trojans were 5-7 on 3-pointers and 2-6 from the line.

Alec Holland scored nine points and Taylor Medina six to lead Rochester.

The Zebras, who have lost nine of their last 10 games, shot 10-33 from the field. Rochester was just 4-16 in the second half from the field. Rochester was 5-14 on threes and 3-6 from the line.

Triton won the junior varsity game 51-46. Nathan Flenar had 13 points, Dalton Bailey 12 points and seven rebounds and Jarrett Kreft 10 points for Triton.

Triton, now 12-7, hosts Tippecanoe Valley Friday night. Rochester, which falls to 4-15, hosts Peru Friday night.
