Peggy H. Baker, age 73, of Topeka, passed away at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015. She was born Dec. 30, 1941 the daughter of Coda & Maudie (Hamlin) Colwell. On Dec. 23, 1961 she married Marshall Baker in Hazard, Ky.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Sharon (Lowell) Johnson, Topeka, and Lori (Gable) Shrock, Ligonier; four grandchildren, Brandon (Lynlee) Howard, Cromwell, Chelsea (Clay) Preston, Ligonier, Austin Shrock, Gaylord, Minn., and Makala Howard, Topeka; one great-grandson, Everett Preston; and six siblings, Ronald Colwell, Joyce Lee Collins, Rose Collins, William M. Colwell, Boyd Colwell, and Lloyd Colwell; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Priscilla Baker, and seven siblings.

Peggy retired from Starcraft Marine after 43 years of dedicated service. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held in her honor at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier. Pastors Joey Nelson & Pat Park will officiate. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Topeka.

Family and friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. on Friday Feb. 20, at the funeral home and from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday.
