Third grade students at Lincoln Elementary have experienced many hands-on STEM activities in the classroom this year. The students were able to implement the design process by thinking like an engineer during our simple machines unit.

After learning about all the simple machines, the students were challenged to create flagpoles, windmills, and Ferris wheels using K’NEX. Excitement bubbled from the classroom while the students were engaged through asking questions and collaboratively problem solving.
