Jefferson Elementary second grade students have been making seasonal place mats for residents at Grace Village for three years now.

The initial idea was born out of a conversation between second grade teacher Tami Williamson and her friend, who is a nurse at Grace Village.

The decision was to make place mats that were representative of each season, and to have each second grade class, since Jefferson has four, pick one of the seasons on which to focus their creative efforts.
