Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following accidents:

8 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, North Fox Farm Road and South Side Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Shirley A. Russell, 66, West McClure Drive, Silver Lake, and David P. Brettell, 28, North Roosevelt Street, Warsaw. Russell slid on ice while trying to execute a stop. Russell’s vehicle slid into the rear of Brettell’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.

7:15 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, North CR 150W and North Fox Farm Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Chelsey R. Sandlin, 23, North CR 650E, Warsaw, and Brian R. Whitaker, 33, North Santorini Drive, Warsaw. Sandlin’s vehicle slid while coming to a stop, striking the rear of Whitaker’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.

6:29 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, East US 30, east of South CR 900E, Pierceton. Driver: Rebeca N. Quirindongo, 24, Martz Court, Columbia City. The driver hit an icy patch in the road, resulting in her vehicle overturning in the median.

11:23 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, East US 30, east of East CR 200S, Pierceton. Driver: Cassandra J. King, 25, North Etna Road, Columbia City. King hit an icy patch on the road, causing her vehicle to spin off of the road and roll over. Damage up to $5,000.

9:54 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, East US 30, east of South CR 900E, Pierceton. Driver: Myo H. Aung, 33, East Essex Lane, Fort Wayne. Aung lost control and slid off of the road and collided with a mailbox. Damage up to $2,500.

8:50 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, US 30, west of North CR 450E, Warsaw. Driver: Bryce A. Isch, 36, Springhill Road, Warsaw. Isch was trying to change lanes when his vehicle fishtailed, causing it to be side-swiped by a passing vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department responded to the following accidents:

12:53 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, 1250 Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Michael D. Swope, 63, East CR 200N, Warsaw, and Rosie M. Martin, 51, Forrest Drive, Elkhart. Swope backed into Martin’s vehicle while exiting a parking space. Damage up to $2,500.

12:13 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, Detroit Street and Shelden Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Amika J. Bolen, 20, South Main Street, Claypool, and Edd D. Campbell, 31, North CR 225E, Warsaw. Damage up to $2,500.

11:42 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, 1209 E. Smith St., Warsaw. Drivers: Candria F. Witt, 50, North Old Orchard Drive, Warsaw, and Larry K. Engle, 73, East Smith Street, Warsaw. Witt did not yield for Engle, who was traveling through the alleyway. Damage up to $10,000.

11:09 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, North Zimmer Road, south of Zimmer Lane, Warsaw. Drivers: Jerry R. Landwerlen, 72, South CR 780W, Mentone, and Jennifer A. Hallstrom, 26, East SR 114, Akron. Landwerlen’s vehicle slid due to road conditions, causing the collision. Damage up to $5,000.
