Precision Agriculture Conference Slated Feb. 24

Purdue Extension will be holding an all-day conference focusing on precision agriculture from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24 at Newton Center, on the north side of Lakeville.
We have some outstanding speakers on this program, including Dr. John Fulton from Ohio State University, Dr. Tim Stombaugh from the University of Kentucky and Dr. Bob Nielsen from Purdue University.
From the industry, speakers will include Jeremy Wilson from Crop IMS, Jim Love and Jason Webster of Beck’s Hybrids; Rodney Rulon of Rulon Enterprises; and Todd Peterson of Peterson Ag Services.
Topics include “Making Data and Images Work for You,” “How is Information Moved and Stored,” “Using Robotics to Collect Field Data,” “High Speed Planters and Using Multi-Variety Plantings” and Precision Pesticide Applications.
Several of our speakers will be giving examples of how precision agriculture is impacting their business.
Registration is needed by Tuesday, Feb 17. The cost is $30 per person, and includes lunch, refreshments and materials.
