UPDATE: At approximately 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, Salvador R. Gonzalez, 37, Third Street, Ligonier was driving northbound on CR 300E, near CR 1300N, when he lost control of his vehicle due to snow, slid off the roadway and struck a utility pole.

Utility lines belonging to Kosciusko REMC were downed as a result of the collision. Additionally, some landscaping was damaged. Gonzalez did not report any injuries at the scene. Damages estimated up to $5,000.

Authorities are currently responding to a single-vehicle accident near 12856 North CR 300E in Milford. There are no injuries but the crash resulted in a downed utility pole and power lines.
