Beatrice ‘Bea’ Ruch, 84, of Milford, passed away Jan. 27, 2015, at IU Health in Goshen.
She was born Aug. 26, 1930, in DeMotte, to Theodore and Clara Esther (Feldman) Punter. On June 17, 1949, Bea married Russell Ruch. He preceded her in death on Aug. 17, 1997.
Bea moved to Milford in 1949 and made this her home. She was a graduate of Vogue Beauty Academy in South bend and worked as a beautician for many years. Mrs. Ruch was also employed at The Papers for several years. She was a member of the Milford United Methodist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Royal Neighbors of America.
Bea is survived by two sons: Craig A. (Marty) Ruch, Sheridan; Lark O. (Gloria) Ruch, Milford; five granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; one sister: Hazel Harris, Marcell, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters: Harriet Hart and Charlotte Samuels; and one brother: Carl Punter.
A funeral service in Mrs. Ruch’s honor will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Mishler Funeral Home, Milford, with Pastor Rob Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Milford Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at Mishler Funeral Home, 461 West CR 900N, Milford.
Memorial contributions may be given to Milford United Methodist Church.
