AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley Middle School basketball teams had a very successful showing in recent games.

The Valley 8th grade boys team defeated Milford 34-21. Jake Gearhart scored 22 points and Cameron Parker had six.

The 8th grade team also beat Lakeview 35-29. Gearhart had 13 points and Wes Melanson 12 to lead the winners.

The Valley 7th grade boys team topped Milford 35-21. The trio of Tucker Shull, Tanner Trippiedi and Braxton Tolson each scored six points to lead Vally.

The 7th grade team defeated Lakeview 29-10. Trippiedi led the winners with nine points and Jace Potter added five.

The Valley 7th grade girls team beat Rochester 30-19. McKenzie Woodcox had 10 points and seven rebounds for the winners. Jillian Walls had nine points and five steals, Emma Craig seven points and four steals and Karina Young four points and five rebounds.

The 7th grade girls also lost a 23-22 final to Rochester. Woodcox scored 11 points and Walls had four. Young had 11 rebounds and Craig four steals in the game.
