WINONA LAKE – Oh, it was so close!
The Lakeland Christian Academy basketball team fell just short of claiming its first win of the season, but it just was not meant to be. The Cougars fell 70-67 to Victory Christian Saturday afternoon.
The offense was clicking for the first time all season as the total of 67 points was by far and wide the highest the team has scored all season. The previous high was 48 points against South Bend Trinity.
Three Cougars scored in double-digits. Jon Harmon led all players with 22 points. Carter Twombly scored 19 points and Josh McDaniel added 13 for LCA. The Cougars shot 74-percent from the in the game.
LCA (0-14) will travel to Churubusco Tuesday night in hopes of getting its first win.
